Using Sabre Red Apps for Fulfillment of Corporate Compliance

Corporate Travel Management

Sabre Red Apps are extensions that can be deployed within the Sabre Red 360 environment—available on both Desktop and Web platforms. Travel agencies can either purchase public apps from Sabre’s Red App Centre or develop custom apps tailored to their internal processes and workflows.

Key Capabilities of Sabre Red Apps:

Here’s a snapshot of what SWIFT IBE currently supports:
Graphical Interface

Provide structured forms and screens, enabling travel consultants to input or view information in a user-friendly way, replacing the traditional cryptic command environment.

Command Interjection

Intercept and enhance existing Sabre commands to enable quality control and automation processes.

PNR Automation

Automate the insertion of commands and data into Passenger Name Records (PNRs) based on specific business rules and requirements.

Use Cases Developed by Forecepts:

Case 1: Reporting Data Checking

The Red App integrates with the mid-office profile system to validate reporting field requirements at the point of "End Transaction" (ER). It dynamically retrieves reporting field configurations based on the corporate client’s profile, determined by the DK (Duty Code) in the PNR.
If the required information exists in the PNR-formatted remarks, the Red App auto-populates the validation form. If any required fields are missing, it prompts the travel consultant to complete them before ER can proceed.
In addition, if traveler-specific reporting data is stored in Sabre Profiles, the Red App can auto-tabulate these values into the form. Upon submission, the Red App writes the validated, pre-formatted remarks back into the PNR, ensuring consistency and readiness for transmission to the mid-office or back-office systems.

Case 2: Passive Segment Detail Filling

Some corporate clients require complete hotel information to be included in invoices or reporting. For hotel bookings made outside the GDS environment, travel agencies often rely on predefined PNR remark formats set by their mid-office or back-office systems to transmit this data.
To minimize manual errors and improve efficiency, the Red App provides a graphical user interface that allows travel consultants to enter the required hotel details in a structured form. Upon submission, the app automatically writes the information into the PNR using the correct, predefined format—ensuring compliance with downstream processing requirements.

Other Use Cases:

In addition to the use cases mentioned above, the Red App framework can support a variety of automation and validation scenarios, such as:
Commission Validation

Verify commission amounts at the ticketing stage to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Price Optimization

Trigger a best fare search automatically during ticketing to help secure a better price.

Mandatory Checks

Perform OSI (Other Supplementary Information) and DOCS (passport/visa data) validation at End Transaction (ER) or ticketing commands.

Automation Tasks

Auto-write retention segments, queue placements, or additional structured remarks as per internal processes.

Policy Integration

Pull corporate travel policy data directly from the mid-office for on-screen guidance or automated validation.
